**Description**:
This position is a part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).

In accordance with the Administrative and Professional Officer Agreement, this full-time continuing position offers a comprehensive benefits package found on our Benefits Overview page and an annual salary range of $63,389 to $105,645.

**Location** - This role is hybrid with a mix of remote and in-person work at North Campus, Edmonton.

**Position**

Reporting to the Faculty General Manager (FGM), the Faculty Services Lead (FSL) provides leadership in managing the current as well as planning future facility needs of the Faculty to ensure the functionality of the building environment by integrating people, places, processes, and technology.

This position is the ‘single point of contact’ in providing liaison between Education senior administration and University Facilities & Operations for all facilities-related issues affecting research, teaching, and administration.

This position effectively manages change and growth within the Faculty of Education (FoED), and is the liaison with University central facilities staff, and a diverse group of stakeholders both inside and outside of the Faculty on a range of facility management areas which includes:

- Strategic and tactical planning;
- Development of Faculty of Education facility policies and procedures;
- Space planning and management;
- Renovations, procurement of furnishings equipment, and signage; and
- Health and safety, security, and emergency preparedness.

This position has direct managerial responsibility of two positions: Education Services Assistant and Laboratory Coordinator. These areas relate to facilities management, environmental health and safety, lab research supports, records management, and security oversight.

In all facets of this role, the Faculty Services Planner endeavors to integrate and advance the University’s commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusivity, and decolonization.

**Duties**

The main responsibilities of the position include:

- Strategic Planning & Space Allocation
- Space Management
- Renovation projects, relocation, procurement of furnishings, and equipment
- Health and Safety, Security and Emergency Preparedness
- Relationship Management
- Administration

**Qualifications**
- A Bachelor's degree is required.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in space planning and management is required.
- Related project management experience, including project budget, is required.
- Supervision experience is required.
