Clinical Services in the Faculty of Education is recruiting a Registered Clinical Psychologist at a doctoral level to bring professional clinical experience and education to facilitate learning, manage emergency situations, and supervise, and support students who are providing services to clients.

Clinical Services is committed to the community and provides the provision of low-cost services to the general public. The Counselling Psychology program maintains accreditation with the Canadian Psychological Association. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor oversees the external practicum placements, supervises and coordinates the pre-doctoral residency program and provides graduate students with quality training experiences that meet the educational outcomes in clinically based practicum courses in counselling services and psychological assessment.

**Position Summary**

The role of the Clinical Supervisor is to collaborate, liaise and work with Counselling Psychology (CP) and School and Clinical Child Psychology (SCCP) faculty, the Clinic staff and the Faculty Directors of the CP and SCCP Centers within the Clinic, collaborative partners, and external placement agencies to facilitate the clinical placements for graduate students. In addition, the Clinical Supervisor ensures adherence to student health and safety requirements and works in a team environment, cross-covering for others, as applicable. In conjunction with the Clinic Directors, the Clinical Supervisor participates in management meetings to address policy and procedural issues — as determined by the Directors. This Clinical Supervisor reports to the Dean or the Dean’s Designate.

**Duties**
- The primary responsibility is teaching-related, collaborating with Academic Faculty members who teach clinically based Practicum courses to mentor students in the clinical setting to assure quality experiences that meet the educational outcomes of the program.
- Evaluating each student within the timelines and in the form appropriate to the course in which the student is enrolled.
- Evaluating and ensuring appropriate student professional conduct so that it meets all regulated standards of the profession to enable compliance.
- Mentoring Students in developing knowledge, skills and judgement necessary to successfully meet the range of issues professional psychologists are expected to confront.
- Provide guest lectures to graduate classes commensurate with areas of interest and expertise.
- Depending upon individual expertise and the needs of the professional psychology programs, the clinical supervisor may serve as a primary course instructor.
- Serve on graduate student thesis supervisory or examination committees.
- Practicum Outreach Coordination provides students with access to external practicum placements (associated with practicum courses) with external supervisors who provide opportunities for 'real-world experience as well as supervision. The Clinic Supervisor is the primary contact person for external supervisors and is responsible for coordinating a directory of potential placements for students, establishing formal connections with external supervisors and, in collaboration with course instructors, facilitating a productive relationship between students, external supervisors, course instructors, and Clinic staff.
