Team Leader

**_Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for one (1) Full-Time Team Leader position at 37.5 hours per week in Edmonton, AB._**

**Job Summary**:
As a Team Leader in our Immigration & Settlement Service, you will provide key support, supervision and leadership to members of the team using a collaborative framework to ensure successful program delivery. You will also provide direct services to clients as necessary.

**Job Duties**:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of program delivery, including provision of direct services to clients as necessary and addressing client grievances.
- Monitor the completion of client service plans and file maintenance. Collect regular statistical reports from staff.
- Develop and implement guidelines for new and existing programs.
- Prepare and submit program reports and statistics to the Program Manager.
- Support team members with case consultation, and problem solving.
- Participate in recruitment and orientation of new members of the team.
- Supervise and evaluate staff performance (including timely completion of performance appraisals).
- Organize regular team-based staff meetings.
- Ensure serious occurrence reports are documented and submitted to the Program Manager.
- Plan staff training and development as required.
- Establish relationships with other organizations and community groups including mainstream service providers, faith organizations, ethno-cultural groups, community centres, schools, etc.
- Track client and community trends and gaps to ensure relevancy of current programs and delivery strategies.
- Analyze client feedback (e.g. satisfaction surveys, workshop evaluations, focus group narratives, etc.) to track outcomes of settlement services and make program changes as necessary.
- Prepare shift schedules and ensure adequate staff coverage.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in human services, social sciences or equivalent
- Ability to speak another language in addition to English is preferred
- Two years’ experience working with newcomers in Canada
- Prior Supervisory experience is preferred
