About Us
Superwake is an aerospace start-up located in North York, focused on changing how drones are currently used by providing large-area imaging previously only possible with crewed aircraft. Founded in 2019, we are focused on offering high-quality aerial imagery to customers using our state-of-the-art solar-powered aircraft.
About the Role
This is contract work with some seasonality. You will be required to travel to various locations across Canada and support the operation of large fixed-wing drones. Operational conditions vary from job to job, but can be carried out in both hot and cold weather (-30C to +40C) and in remote locations. Your duties include, but are not limited to, helping to transport, set up and launch the drone, and operate the payload equipment and manage payload data when required. You will be at these sites for multiple weeks at a time alongside other Superwake support personnel. The position pays $300/day during operations and $200/day during local flight testing. This position includes possibilities for advancement to become an RPAS operator.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the site survey and mission planning logistics
- Help transport, maintain, and operate all equipment required to fly the drones
- Transport personnel and equipment to and from operation locations
- Setup and disassemble aircraft in a variety of climates, including the Arctic in the winter
- Operate the payload system, if required, and process the payload data after flying
- All other duties, as assigned
- Comfortable working in an outdoor environment in both Canadian winter and summer climates
- Hold a valid drivers license
- Capable of performing physical labour, including lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs
- Transport Canada Advanced RPAS certificate
- Experience flying RC aircraft
- English language skills (both oral and written)
