**Location**: North Bay, Ontario _(Hybrid work considered in certain circumstances)_
**Position Type**: Full-Time Contract — 37.5 hours/week
**Contract Period**: August 2025 - May 2026 _(possibility of permanent placement)_
**Start Date**: As soon as possible
**Reports To**: Executive Director
**Compensation**: Hourly rate commensurate with experience; benefits available _(start date negotiable)_
**About NOHA**
The Northern Ontario Hockey Association is dedicated to promoting and developing hockey across Northern Ontario. We provide governance, support, and programs for minor hockey associations, coaches, and players throughout the region.
**Position Overview**
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide administrative support to NOHA programs and initiatives.
- Coordinate communications with member associations, coaches, and other stakeholders.
- Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, and record keeping.
- Support risk management processes and compliance activities.
- Manage and update databases, documents, and online systems.
- Contribute to special projects and events as required.
**Qualifications**
**Education & Experience**
- Post-secondary diploma preferred.
- Open to recent graduates; no prior hockey administration experience required.
- Experience in sports management, administration, or related fields considered an asset.
**Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Adobe products is an asset.
- Strong general computer skills; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Experience with database management is an asset.
**Core Competencies**
- Knowledge of minor hockey operations is an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Professional, courteous phone and customer service manner.
- Discretion in handling confidential information.
- Adaptable problem-solving skills.
**Working Conditions**
- Based in North Bay, Ontario (standard office environment).
- Hybrid work may be considered.
- Schedule follows the hockey season (August-May) with possible increased workload during peak periods.
- Occasional evening and weekend meetings may be required.
