The **Housekeeping Supervisor** is responsible for the exceptional cleanliness of the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house non-kitchen areas and managing laundry operations (external).

This is a hybrid role in which half of the time will be dedicated to performing housekeeping duties (cleaning rooms) and the other half will be dedicated to performing supervisory duties.

This position requires strong people management, communications, and hands-on housekeeping skills.

**Responsibilities**
- In conjunction with the Guest Experience Manager, direct the activities of Housekeeping daily operation to maintain and improve high cleaning standard of guestrooms and public areas as well as courteous service to guest.
- In conjunction with the Guest Experience Manager, train and monitor staff on daily housekeeping duties.
- Work with the Guest Experience Manager to create the weekly housekeeping schedule based on occupancy.
- Inspect vacant and occupied guestrooms to ensure the cleaning standard is adhered too.
- Inspect the guestrooms floors, back of the house and public areas to ensure the cleaning are well maintained.
- Use our maintenance reporting system to effectively communicate with the maintenance department on repairs required in the rooms.
- Attend daily briefing with operations teams, to give information about daily expected VIP arrivals, guest complaints and special assignments.
- Work with our Purchasing manager to order guest room supplies and cleaning supplies, within outlined par levels.
- Complete monthly inventory of linens and other room related items.
- Adhere to the hotel’s security and emergency policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 1 year previous experience in a Housekeeping operation as a supervisor or head housekeeper
- Positive guest and associate relations skills
- Good problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Must be proficient in hotel PMS system (Opera)
- Fulfill a flexible schedule to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Possesses excellent customer service, organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills
