The Butternut Tree is dedicated to delivering a warm, memorable dining experience to every guest. We’re looking for a **Restaurant Manager** who brings genuine hospitality, strong leadership, and a passion for exceptional service to lead our front-of-house team and support our acclaimed restaurant.
**What You’ll Do**
- Lead, motivate, and inspire our front-of-house team to deliver seamless, welcoming service.
- Oversee all daily operations, from reservations to closing procedures.
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment.
- Partner with ownership and kitchen leadership to create a unified guest experience.
- Maintain the highest standards for service, cleanliness, and presentation.
**Responsibilities**
- Oversee and ensure smooth, efficient daily restaurant operations.
- Recruit, train, schedule, mentor, and supervise all front-of-house staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and exceptional hospitality.
- Lead by example, motivating team members to deliver outstanding service and create personalized guest experiences.
- Monitor and uphold the highest standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation across all guest-facing areas.
- Collaborate closely with the culinary team to ensure seamless communication, timely order delivery, and consistent food presentation.
- Engage with guests to gather feedback, address concerns, and create memorable dining experiences.
- Develop and implement service standards, protocols, and procedures to improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Manage financial performance, budgets, and implement cost-control measures.
- Oversee inventory management, ordering, and vendor relationships to maintain smooth supply operations.
- Execute marketing and promotional strategies to drive guest engagement and business growth.
- Address conflicts professionally, support team development, and encourage contributions from all staff.
- Uphold the highest ethical standards in all business practices.
**What We’re Looking For**
- 2-4 years of experience in restaurant management.
- Fine-dining restaurant experience required
- ProServe certification is mandatory
- Proven leadership skills to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial, inventory, and operational management.
- Detail-oriented and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A guest-first mindset with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- A collaborative spirit and willingness to lead by example.
- Strong knowledge of bar operations and wine programs
