Plant Payroll/administrative Clerk

Sunrise Farms is a group of companies that has grown from an initial focus in the poultry industry including hatchery operations; poultry farming; primary processing; and further processing; to distribution of other protein products across Canada.

**Position Summary**:
- The Plant Payroll/ Administration Clerk provides administrative support to the business with responsibilities including plant payroll using Dayforce, invoicing, and assisting accounts payable._
**Key Responsibilities**:
The following list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties rather they are intended to only describe the nature of the job:
**Payroll**:
- Weekly review of payroll, identifying missed punches, lates, early exits, shift changes
- Reconcile weekly vacation board to blue forms coded in Dayforce and HR calendar
- Provide new benefit packages to newly hired hourly employees
- Generate Retro forms and seek approval from Supervisor/Plant Manager
- Complete wage change forms/position changes and seek appropriate approval
- Review and submit Supervisor premiums to Plant Manager for approval
- Respond to employee payroll enquiries
- Maintain confidentiality of organizational information
- Other payroll duties as required
**Plant Administration**:
- AP invoice processing of Manual POs
- Suppliers Invoice processing for AP - system POs
- Prepare weekly invoices package to HO-AP for payment processing.
- Extension coverage - breaks, lunches, absences, and the vacation.
- Assist with customer invoicing and transfers
- Purchase office supplies
- Other Office duties as required
**Skills/Qualifications**
- 1-2 years’ previous experience in admin role
- Food Manufacturing Environment experience an asset
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Initiative
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Adaptability
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must be able to multi-task and possess strong organization skills
