Director, Commercial Property Management

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Commercial Property Management for Canada, this is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional to join the Property Management team in Vancouver. The Property Management department’s primary objective is to serve the tenants within the Canadian Commercial Portfolio. This is completed through a variety of avenues, including building & site maintenance and performance.

**About you**:
Looking for a strong communicator who is extremely organized, with excellent management, problem solving, critical thinking and customer service skills. Someone who is also able to multitask while working under pressure. Should be comfortable managing a team of 10 - 20 full-time employees, depending on the allocated portfolio mix.
- Oversee all day-to-day operations for your portion of the portfolio
- Develop strong relationships with your subordinates, tenants, contractors, and vendors
- Manage and provide direction to staff, which may include, but is not limited to administrators, property managers, and site staff
- Conduct site visits with property managers and site staff
- Review financial statements and budgets on a regular basis
- Manage and help prioritize tenant service requests
- Review leases, contracts and agreements as required
- Ensure monthly service contracts are in place and are being completed in a timely professional manner
- Review and ensure that all building and site maintenance logs are in order and to the Company’s standard
- Assist with tenant move-ins and move-outs as required
- When needed, assist and help manage tenant improvements
- Assist in obtaining bids and budgeting
- Manage annual budgeting process for the portfolio
- Help coordinate and manage all tenant appreciation events, working in tandem with support staff
- Work closely with the Accounting, Development, Leasing and Construction team on various projects
- On-Call emergency response as required
- Other duties as required
**Summary of Qualifications & Requirements**:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive commercial real estate experience working directly for a landlord
- Must be technology/computer proficient
- Must be personable and reliable
- Have a good understanding of both the operational and financial aspect of commercial property management
- Must have a valid BC driver's license and a reliable vehicle available on a daily basis
- Must be able to handle modern technology and be adaptable to change
- Able to work independently with little supervision
- Able to meet deadlines
- Proven capabilities in multi-tasking, problem solving and prioritizing workloads

**Salary Range**:
