We are currently seeking a qualified individual to join the dedicated, forward-thinking Accounting team in our downtown Toronto office.
ACCOUNTING CLERK - TORONTO
As part of the accounting team, the accounting clerk will report to the Assistant Controller and be primarily responsible for processing and reconciling accounts payable and account receivables. Other duties will include preparation of daily bank deposits, filing, totaling, entering, and verifying transactions, and other related duties.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills in all areas of work.
- High level of personal integrity, strong work ethic and initiative.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and the ability to adapt to and learn new software.

**Accountabilities**:

- Ensure timely payment of invoices and claims, via preparation of cheques and EFT payments.
- Clear Account Receivable in a timely manner and discrepancies are investigated.
- Assist with account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end reporting processes for the company.
- Respond to vendor/customer inquiries and maintain good vendor/customer relations as required.
- Manage account receivable inboxes, respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and work effectively with underwriters to ensure collection of receivables.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and analysis to support business initiatives as required.
- Administrative and other duties as required.

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of BComm or a University degree with an accounting focus.
- Minimum 1 year work experience in accounting or related field.
- Bilingual (English/French) is an asset
