**Title**: Security Officer

**Workplace**: Montreal

**Position type**: Full-Time

**Salary range**: $19.69 to $20.81$

**Shift**: Monday to friday

**Schedule**: 00h00 to 8h00 a.m.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monitor and control access to the data center, ensuring that only authorized persons can enter.
- Conduct regular patrols of the data center premises to identify and resolve security risks.
- Incident response : Respond to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports; escalate issues as necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with provincial and local security regulations.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with other safety staff and customer personnel to maintain a safe environment.

**Requirements**:

- 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a security officer, preferably in a data center or similar environment.
- **Fluency in French and English - Bilingual.**:

- **Must pass a full 5-year background check and have a clean security record.**:

- Computer skills required: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reports and documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with video surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems and alarm monitoring software.
- Excellent observation and surveillance skills.
- Must hold a valid Montreal Security Licence (BSP).
- Must be authorized to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
