**Equipment Operator - Blackwater Constructors**
Calgary, AB

Blackwater Constructors is a leading (civil / infrastructure / site development) contractor committed to excellence, safety, and innovation. We’re seeking a skilled and reliable **Equipment Operator** to join our team and help us deliver high-quality results on commercial, municipal, and civil projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy construction equipment (e.g. excavators, bulldozers, loaders, graders, compactors, skid steers) to carry out earthworks, grading, utility installation, and site prep.
- Perform pre
- and post-operation inspections; report mechanical issues and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Work to project plans and specifications, following instructions from foreman / site supervisor.
- Assist with site cleanup, material loading/unloading, and general labour-support duties as required.
- Adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE), traffic control, etc.
- Maintain accurate records of hours, fuel, maintenance, and equipment usage.

Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 4 **years** experience operating heavy equipment in Construction / Civil works.
- Valid driver’s license. (Class 3 / 1A / or other applicable licences, if required by local regulations.)
- Familiar with or willing to follow safety regulations (OH&S, traffic controls, etc.).
- Mechanical aptitude: able to spot and report issues; perform basic maintenance and lubrication.
- Good physical condition; able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong team player; good communication skills.
