Summary

We are seeking experienced Equipment Operators to join our team at Cannex Contracting 2000 Inc. This role is essential for the successful execution of various civil projects in Calgary and surrounding areas. Chosen applicants will be responsible for operating heavy machinery in a safe & productive manner. Ensuring efficient project completion.

Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy equipment such as Wheel/Track loaders, Dozers, Excavators, and other machinery for various civil projects
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Including completing daily Operators Checklist to update machine hours and maintenance concerns
  • Ability to work effectively in large commercial sites with numerous other trades around. And in smaller projects with limited space.
  • Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the supervisor promptly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Equipment Operator in the Underground Construction sector (3+ Years)
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues (Preferred)
  • Ability to reliabily get to and from each jobsite in the Calgary and surrounding areas (Required)
  • All require certificates (CSTS 2020, Ground Disturbance, Etc.)
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and physical environments.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 6-12 months
