If so, we have the perfect position for you Excel Career College is seeking a passionate and dedicated **Student Services Coordinator** to join our team in Surrey, BC. This full-time, on campus role offers the chance to play a key role in supporting and enhancing the student experience while contributing to the overall success of our diverse student body.
**Qualifications**:
- Diploma or degree in Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong computer and IT skills.
- Proven experience in office management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to support and set up teams for success.
- Familiarity with international visa and permit regulations (an asset).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in a post-secondary institution, particularly working with both international and domestic students (an asset).
- Previous experience with Classtrack LMS (an asset).
**Requirements**:
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proven ability to develop and implement effective student support strategies.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Previous experience in a post-secondary education environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Student Services:_
- Maintain and update accurate student attendance records.
- Organize and support student-centered events, such as Orientation Days.
- Create and manage student schedules.
- Support the management of class batches in the LMS system, ensuring class materials are current.
- Communicate important student service information in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Maintain detailed case notes for student interactions.
- Conduct research and recommend improvements to student services processes.
- IT Services and Support:_
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve technology issues for staff members.
- Provide LMS troubleshooting and IT support to students.
- Master a full understanding of the LMS and train new staff members, including faculty.
- Front Desk Administration Support:_
- Ensure the smooth operation of the reception area, answering and redirecting calls and messages efficiently.
- Greet visitors to the college, ensuring they sign in, receive relevant lanyards, and notify the appropriate staff member.
- Provide reception services during college events, ensuring a welcoming and organized environment.
- Maintain an adequate supply of forms and stationery, ensuring timely reordering as necessary.
Pay: $44,000.00-$54,000.00 per year
