We are recruiting for a Business Analyst for our facility in** Peterborough, Ontario.**

**Role Summary/Purpose**:
Each year, the Fuel Handling and Engineered Solutions (FHES) business segment selects key continuous improvement targets to be implemented. The Business Analyst will work across the FHES business to provide technology related support to achieve continuous improvement goals for various projects, departments and programs. This position reports directly to the Quality & Training Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
**Gathering Requirements**:

- Interface with users across the FHES business to solicit Continuous Improvement ideas or problems.
- Document requirements so that the business can decide which initiatives to proceed with.

**Prepare Estimates and Proposals for Implementing Solutions**:

- Develop and utilize a standard template to estimate the effort and time required to address business needs, including major milestones (development, testing, implementation.)
- Store all estimates in a standard location for future reference.

**Successfully develop solutions and associated documentation/training**:

- Custom programming for specific project, department and program related tools/processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation for the ongoing support/maintenance of suck tools/processes to be incorporated into the Business Management System or training programs.
- Meet or exceed the allotted financial budgets for the given year/project.
- Cross-train others on the use and maintenance of such tools and processes.

**Monitor and prioritize workload**:

- Track all proposed and active work in terms of schedule and budgeted hours so that prioritization and workload balancing can occur with Manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science OR College Diploma in a related field with 3+ years relevant experience.

**Desired Characteristics**:

- Experience/training in three or more of the following:

- Visual Basic for Applications
- Tableau
- Livelink
- Microsoft Access
- Microsoft SQL
- Microsoft Excel (including Macros)
- Demonstrated ability to independently plan, schedule and handle multiple priorities.
- Experience in requirements solicitation, documentation and construction of new business tools or processes.
- Experience or familiarity with Six Sigma methodology is considered an asset.
- Experience in the nuclear industry is considered an asset but is not required.
