**The Opportunity**: The Bilingual Service Coordination Specialist, reporting to the Manager of Employment Solutions, is responsible for providing high-quality customer service within the Employment Solutions delivery team. The Specialist coordinates supports for unemployed/ underemployed individuals by providing labour market and career information, referrals to community services as needed and as requested by Consultants, supports with resume and cover letter creation, delivers employment-related workshops, and supports clients throughout their job search and employment retention phases - all within the Employment Action Plan. They track statistical data, meet monthly intake and exit targets, and maintain accurate client files. During the 365-day retention period, they support job seekers in retaining employment by contacting them at specified intervals to verify employment and provide necessary support. The incumbent liaises with consulting and job development team to ensure a continuum of services to client. They maintain social media channels and develop marketing materials for Employment Solutions. This bilingual role requires a high level of customer service, creativity, strong organizational and data management skills, excellent communication, and the ability to adapt to changing environments.
**What you need to be successful**:
- Minimum 2-year diploma in Human Services, Office Administration or related field
- Minimum two years of experience working with unemployed clients, conducting outreach, delivering workshops and identifying and overseeing career and employment resources
- Minimum 1 year experience with social media/marketing for an organization
- Experience delivering workshops/presentations and public speaking considered an asset
- Ability to thrive in a busy, multi-tasking environment while serving clients
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Canva, Excel and Outlook) and proficiency in data entry
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
Sault College provides an attractive total compensation package, encompassing competitive wages/salaries, a defined benefit pension plan, group insurance benefits, and a variety of employee perks. This is a full-time support staff vacancy, Payband E - $27.81-32.24/hour (starting rate $27.81/hour), 35 hours/week, located in Blind River.
