We are currently looking for someone who is positive, reliable and responsible, who love to create an excellent customer experience for our clients. The Salon Coordinator will have a variety of front desk responsibilities including answering inquiries, setting appointments, etc.

We are looking for someone who is available Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

**BASIC FUNCTION OF THE SALON COORDINATOR**

The basic function of Salon Coordinator is to provide support for salon Stylists and Owner.

This includes servicing customers and prospects, managing salespeople and solicitors, assisting with events, managing retail products and administrative duties.

This position will not experience down time. There is always something to be done.

**EDUCATION**

Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

**EXPERIENCE**

Required: Two or more years of customer service experience in a retail and/or service industry.

Preferred: Salon experience.

**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES**
- Positive, outgoing and friendly
- Coordinate the daily flow of customer scheduling, servicing, and check out. Multi-tasking is key.
- Effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Excellent personal/social skills when dealing with vendors, customers, coworkers, and Owner.
- Team player and able to adapt to sudden changes throughout the day.
- Handle cash and other tenders of payment.
- Effectively use salon’s computer system including updates (Milano).
- Perform administrative duties accurately and in a timely manner.
- Problem solver
- Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, staff, or vendors.
- Understands and applies verbal instructions in a fast-paced atmosphere.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

The following duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Access petty cash for approved purchases
- Sign for deliveries
- Answer 2 - line phone system
- Assist Owner with events per Owner’s direction.
- Ensure complete client check in.
- Ensure customer satisfaction. Handle concerns and then bring those issues to the Owner’s attention in private.
- Ensure daily appointment confirmation calls.
- Ensure proper scheduling and assigning of customers to staff.
- Balance petty cash at end of day
- Manage inventory of retail products, back bar products, office supplies, and janitorial supplies.
- Perform opening and closing duties
- Verify invoices against packing slips.
- Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Owner

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour
