Program Support Worker

Hope Restored Canada is dedicated to empowering individuals affected by sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Through trauma-informed, survivor-centered programs and services, we support individuals in rebuilding their lives, achieving independence, and fostering a sense of dignity and hope.
**Position Overview**:
As a Program Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals enrolled in Hope Restored Canada's programs. You will provide trauma-informed, compassionate support to participants, ensuring their safety, well-being, and access to resources as they navigate their journey toward holistic restoration.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Build trusting, respectful relationships with program participants.
- Provide day-to-day support, including assistance with activities of daily living, skill-building, and emotional support.
- Collaborate with Case Workers to develop and implement individualized recovery plans.
- Facilitate or support workshops and activities focused on areas like trauma education, healthy relationships, and life skills.
- Monitor and maintain a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment within the program facilities.
- Accompany participants to appointments (e.g., medical, legal, court) as needed.
- Respond to crisis situations calmly and effectively, ensuring participants’ safety and well-being.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of participant interactions and progress.
- Work collaboratively with community partners to connect participants to additional resources and supports.
- Uphold Hope Restored Canada’s commitment to trauma-informed care and cultural sensitivity.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Diploma or degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, sexual exploitation, or human trafficking is an asset.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and client-centered approaches.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
- Familiarity with community resources and supports in Saskatchewan.
- Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping.
- Cultural competence and an understanding of the diverse needs of marginalized populations, including Indigenous, 2SLGBTQ+, and newcomer communities.
- A valid class 5 driver's license with current drivers abstract (required).
- Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance (required).

Pay: From $18.42 per hour
Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
