**Job: Recruitment Manager and Summer Program Director**

Camp Ramah in Canada is a non-profit, overnight summer camp located in the beautiful Muskoka Region of Central Ontario, just two hours north of Toronto. As the camping arm of Conservative Judaism, Ramah offers a summer experience immersed in Jewish living, highlighted by dynamic programming. Traditional camp activities like swimming, sports, dance, and art are enhanced by a commitment to informal Jewish education. Ramah inspires a love of Judaism, the Jewish people, Israel, and the great outdoors in campers and staff alike.

**Position Overview**

**The Recruitment Manager and Summer Program Director** is a **full-time position** reporting to the **Co-Directors**. The role has two primary areas of focus: year-round camper recruitment and summer program management.

**Year-Round Responsibilities**:
As the Recruitment Manager, you will lead efforts to recruit new campers and engage current families to ensure retention for future summers.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing a dynamic recruitment strategy.
- Planning and hosting information sessions and events in key catchment areas, including Ontario, Montreal, Buffalo, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Rochester, and Israel.
- Organizing and implementing year-round community programming.
- Managing camper enrollment and liaising with prospective families to promote Ramah programs.
- Representing Camp Ramah at fairs and community events.
- Coordinating all shoulder season programming.
- Collaborating with the Director of Marketing and Communications to create and maintain recruitment materials.
- Coordinating the summer Programming logistics
- Preparing for the Summer Program
- Coordinating the Summer Calendar
- Planning Special Events and Programming
- Managing the Specialty Staff Hiring

**Note**: This role requires evening and weekend availability and regular travel.

**Summer Responsibilities**:
As the Summer Program Director, you will oversee programmatic aspects of camp, working closely with summer staff and leadership to execute camp goals and priorities. Key responsibilities include:

- Implementing innovative program initiatives.
- Organizing logistics for daily operations and special events.
- Supervising key program areas, including sports, chugim, Israel engagement, and staff programming.
- Managing all schedules, including daily activities, the summer calendar, and special days.
- Coordinating camper and staff trips as well as summer guest visits.
- Planning and executing Visitor’s Day logistics and programming.
- Overseeing supply management.

**Qualifications**:

- A university degree or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in community engagement, project management, or event coordination.
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
- Prior experience in a Jewish non-profit or as a Camp Ramah alum is an asset.

**Compensation and Benefits**
- Salary range: $55,000-$65,000.
- Health insurance stipend.
- 15 days of vacation plus Jewish holidays and comp time.
