**About the Role**

As Payroll Specialist, you will manage the full cycle of payroll operations across all store locations and our head office, ensuring every team member is paid accurately and on time. You’ll handle payroll processing through ADP Workforce Now, maintain employee records, reconcile payroll data, and support compliance with federal and provincial/state regulations.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-moving retail environment, values accuracy and confidentiality, and takes pride in supporting people through reliable and transparent payroll practices.

**Payroll Operations**
- Process accurate and timely bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees across retail stores and head office through ADP Workforce Now
- Deliver reminders for timesheet submission and approvals
- Manage employee payroll inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality
- Reconcile payrolls and prepare year-end reports (tax forms/documents)

**Compliance & Reporting**
- Prepare and submit EHT and WSIB remittances, reconciliations, contributions
- Administer garnishments, EI claims, and government correspondence
- Issue Records of Employment (ROEs) as required
- Maintain compliance with payroll legislation across multiple jurisdictions

**Continuous Improvement**
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies in collaboration with HR and Finance
- Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Perform related duties as assigned

**What You’ll Need**
- 1-2 years of full-cycle payroll experience, preferably in retail industry
- Strong proficiency in ADP Workforce Now
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in Accounting, Payroll, Business Administration, or related field
- Solid understanding of ESA and payroll related legislation across multiple jurisdictions
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently & as a team player in a fast-paced environment
- **Nice-to-haves**:_
- Experience in U.S. payroll processing via ADP and knowledge of U.S. payroll related laws & legislations
- Bilingual in English and French
- Ongoing professional development through the National Payroll Institute (NPI); working towards Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), Canadian Payroll Management (CPM) or equivalent
