Marketing Intern

**Marketing Internship (May 1-Aug 29, 2025)**

Ocean Brands Marketing intern will work with the Marketing team on specific projects for implementation in 2025/2026. Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will gain essential training that will help you be successful in future marketing positions. You will be exposed to various departments within the organization and learn about the key roles and responsibilities of a Brand Manager. In this internship, you will also experience being a part of our dynamic innovation team as we disrupt the ambient seafood category and grow beyond our current offerings.

This position will have a hybrid work model: Remote work most of the time, physical presence in our Richmond, BC Head Office for product tastings or specific in person meetings. Given the need for in person activities, Intern must be based in Lower Mainland, BC.

Intern must be a consumer of seafood/canned seafood.

**Education and Experience**:

- Currently working towards a degree/diploma (on their 3rd or 4th year), focused on Marketing.
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and current best practices.
- Previous experience in marketing or consumer packaged goods (internship or co-op) is preferable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Creative, detail oriented, analytical.
- Proficient in Microsoft platform: Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams.
- Experience in Social media management, content creation and reporting (Meta, TikTok, Pinterest), Google Analytics, Google Display Network and SEO.
- Knowledge of emerging AI Marketing tools a plus.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist Marketing team in analyzing key data on marketing campaigns and sales performance.
- Assist in finalizing 2026 brand plans.
- Play a key role in one of our new product launches.
- Assist on assigned projects for new businesses.
- Gain an understanding of the retail market and share your insights.
- Help develop social media content and execute media plan for assigned brands.
- Manage consumer inquiries.
- Must be professional, proactive and take full ownership and accountability for assigned projects.

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $25.68 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
