**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Lead Clinician, Student Health, the Office Coordinator, Student Health is responsible for providing clerical support for the Student Health Centre including support for all clinicians working within the Centre. It is the responsibility of the incumbent to coordinate the appointments for all clinicians which can include nurse practitioners, nurses, counsellors, and physicians. It is the incumbent’s responsibility to ensure all necessary paperwork and files are in place and up to date for the appointment and any subsequent follow up required. The incumbent maintains all clinic records as well as coordinating the Immunization Clearance for Student Placement.
The incumbent must be able to identify and respond to students who are potentially at-risk of harm to themselves or others and ensure effective intervention is provided by an appropriate regulated professional.

The incumbent provides regular secondary support for the Equitable Learning team and must have experience working in both post-secondary and clinical environments. The incumbent performs a variety of administrative tasks including payroll submission, purchasing, maintaining paper and electronic files, and coordination of communications materials for the team. The incumbent works with the electronic medical records system (Accuro),and provides back-up support for the Equitable Learning case management system, (Penelope).

**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Office Administration & Support** including but not limited to coordinating Health Services team and collaborative meetings, requesting agenda items, documenting and distributing meeting minutes, ordering and managing all supplies for Health Centre (including office & medical), and maintaining and reporting Health Services statistics.
**Medical Administrative Support including but not limited to **scheduling appointments for all clinicians (including referrals), updating and verifying personal information for patient/student charts, liaising with campus partners as required, preparing billing, preparing schedules, lab requisitions and labels and following up with results as required. Follows up with patients/students to confirm appointment details (i.e. time, date and location), orders and manages distribution and payment for prescriptions (i.e. oral contraceptives), ensures prescriptions are current, obtains consent forms to release prescriptions from patient’s primary care provider, maintenance and filing of confidential patient records.
**Client Services & Triage**
- First line of triage in assessing urgency and type of student/patient need
- Determine if referral to other student/patient services may be required
- Respond to students/patients in distress
- Collect intake of patient/student health forms
- Review to ensure completion and accuracy of forms with the student/patient and Nurse prior to clearance
- Perform initial assessment of risk of harm to self or others, if applicable
- Provides information to students/patient on International Health Insurance Plan
- Completes provincial and third party insurance cla
