**Full-Time Dispatcher**
**Monday to Friday - 4:30AM-1:00PM**

**What You’ll Do**:

- Assigns pickup and delivery instructions to P&D Drivers within the P&D area.
- Monitors city maps for any road delays that may require driver re-routing.
- Walks the Dock to ensure no missing bills or freight is left behind.
- Liaises with customers, suppliers, Dock Supervisors, Business Development, Customer Service, Claims and Manifest to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Monitors driver yard time, workload, travel time, breaks and assigned pickups and deliveries.
- Assists in answering customer calls and logging pick up requests.

Participates in other related duties and projects as assigned.

**Who You Are**:

- Successful completion of Grade 12, with a minimum of one (1) years’ dispatch experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- LTL Dispatch experience.
- Knowledge of LTL freight-handling requirements.
- Solid knowledge of the geography of British Columbia.
- Experience with a Transportation Management System (TMS) preferred.
- Customer service experience.
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize self and others to achieve goals, prioritize tasks, and allocate time and resources accordingly to ensure completion within set timelines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to be effective in requesting and delivering information.
- Team player who collaborates with others to achieve goals, objectives, and deliverables; demonstrates ability to engage, motivate, develop and mentor staff.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required.
