As a Dispatcher, you will be creating routes for our fleet to the US and back into Canada, while maintaining our On-Time-Delivery targets and excellence in customer service.

**As the Dispatcher, you will**:

- Maximize efficiency of schedules while adhering to MTO & DOT Rules and regulations
- Dispatching drivers and equipment to ensure company and customer service standards are met for pickups and deliveries
- Responsible for organizing documentation for all routed shipments
- In conjunction with Terminal Supervisory, monitor U.S. dispatch performance
- Ensure backhaul and load goals are met
- Assist with maintaining proper communications between the traffic department, drivers and other departments within the company
- Ensure timely responses to dispatch requests, drivers and operational requirements
- Receive and respond to after-hours contact from drivers, mechanics and other staff, as required
- Post-Secondary or High school diploma, or equivalent skills and experience
- 1 year of traffic dispatcher experience is an asset
- Experience in transportation fleet is also an asset
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to change in a business environment
- Provide a high level of customer service
- Excellent computer skills, with demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs.
- Telephone skills, general knowledge of geography, listening and verbal communication skills, high energy level, ability to multi-task, be dependable, emotional control, and good reporting skills
