Job Title: Truck Dispatcher

Job Summary:
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Schedule and dispatch drivers and trucks for local and long-distance deliveries
- Monitor driver progress and adjust schedules as needed to ensure on-time delivery
- Coordinate with customers to ensure delivery instructions are clear and accurate
- Track shipments and update customers on delivery status
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions and ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatches, deliveries, and pickups
- Monitor and manage driver hours of service to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Manage relationships with drivers, customers, and vendors
- Identify and resolve issues related to dispatch and delivery in a timely and efficient manner
- Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business, logistics, or related field preferred
- At least 2 years of experience in dispatching or logistics, preferably in the transportation industry
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standard
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in computer programs, including dispatch software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays as needed

Physical Demands: This job may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or working at a computer.

**Salary**: $20.50-$27.08 per hour
