**Job Overview**
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your ability to multitask and manage time effectively will ensure that each customer receives prompt and friendly service. If you have a love for coffee and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

**Duties**
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using the POS system, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
- Assist with food handling and preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Manage time effectively to meet customer demands while maintaining quality standards.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and processing transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the workplace.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems is an advantage but training will be provided.
- Must be able to attend training at our location at 330 Steeles Avenue East in Thornhill for a couple of days prior to starting at the Sheridan College Hazel McCallion Campus location.
