Stuart Olson is currently seeking a laborer for an immediate start date. This position is based in the Red Deer, AB area with a 4, 10's schedule (MOnday to Thursday). Preference given to applicants with bobcat, frklift, and zoom boom tickets. **No camp, travel or LOA provided. Boot allowance $ 200.00 every 2 years.**

**Compensation and Benefits**

**Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Foreman, the Laborer assumes responsibility for all general Laborer duties required on industrial scope construction projects.
- Maintain Inventory of available materials.
- Execute preventative maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Closing and opening valves on a regular basis.
- Address and escalate safety concerns.
- Operate shop equipment to include, but not limited to: vehicles, forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload materials and move materials to work area.
- Operate and care for equipment and machines.
- Maintain clean and safe equipment and work areas.
- Follow instructions/protocol/policy from crew Lead Hand and Foreman.
- Assist craft workers as necessary.
- Complete other duties as assigned by the Foreman.

**Working Conditions**
- Overtime as required
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions
- Working at heights
- Working in and around noise and dust
- Bending and kneeling
- Must be clean shaven
- LOA not provided
- Coveralls, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat and gloves are provided
- CSA approved steel-toed safety boots will be required

**Qualifications**
- High school diploma
- Experience as a general labourer in the construction industry an asset
- Well head experience an asset
- Zoom boom, bobcat and forklift experienced
- Mechanically inclined
- Intermediate knowledge with tools and equipment used in industrial construction preferred
- CSTS 2020
- Emergency First Aid
- H2S Alive
- General construction safety knowledge
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Superior focus on customer satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license and clean drivers abstract
- Drug and Alcohol testing required

**Physical Requirements**
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs.; Occasionally lift items weighing more than 50lbs. with assistance
- Stand or walk for long periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle or manipulate objects
- Climb stairs, scaffolds and other objects
