About the role
Reporting to the Manager, HR Operations, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing effective talent acquisition plans, processes, and solutions to attract and hire top-quality talent. This position will lead multiple searches at one time, while providing coaching and advice to people leaders. The incumbent will work closely with people leaders to proactively identify hiring needs, out of the box sourcing solutions, and provide customized support to individual business units.
We are looking for a specialist who will bring our recruitment program and processes to the next level. We are a fast growing, professional organization at the center of Canada’s fintech ecosystem. This requires us to be highly organized, uniquely focused on talent and selective when it comes to employees. Working in collaboration with both the HR team and people leaders, this position needs to be someone who is credible based on their experiences, and is a true center of excellence for talent acquisition and recruiting activities.
This is a 12 month term role.
- What you’ll be doing
- Lead the recruitment function at Payments Canada, collaborate and mentor others on the HR team with respect to optimized recruiting process, plans and outcomes.
- Develop recruitment process material (postings, interview guides and other assessments).
- Partner with other internal teams including Finance on organizational resource capacity management, including headcount requests.
- Leverage data and reports to determine effectiveness of strategies, return on advertising investments, and process inefficiencies.
- Manage and maintain the student program for Payments Canada, including postings, offer letters, relationship management and sourcing multiple students on a term by term basis.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, innovative recruitment sourcing techniques, and local employment laws to ensure compliance with all recruitment guidelines.
- What you’ll need to have
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience.
- A minimum of five (5) years of in-house recruitment experience.
- Proven track record in sourcing and recruiting for high volume technical roles in a fast pace environment, at all levels of the organization, including executives.
- Experience working on applicant tracking systems, sourcing, recruiting data & recruiting tools including boolean search techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and leverage talent acquisition plans to help drive measurable business results.
- Knowledge of and experience in Microsoft and Google products, specifically sheets and excel
- Experience with coaching and mentoring other recruiters.
- Understanding of current HR legislation & policies, specifically Canada Labour Code
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- RPR designation is considered an asset
- Experience in the banking industry or financial services is considered an asset

**Salary**: $86,064.00-$114,751.00 per year
