This includes working within an electronic medical record (EMR) to ensure information is available for clinical data collection. - Qualifications **Education**: - Undergraduate Degree, in a Health Information Management/Professional program **Experience**: - 3 year of administrative experience in a medical office environment Skills, Abilities & Expertise: - Ability to work independently and exercise tact and discretion - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Knowledge of best practices for handling health records in a confidential and sensitive manner consistent with PHIPA. - Demonstrated ability to communicate in a professional and clear manner in both written and oral format - Be able to read and interpret the content of diagnostic reports with respect to clinical data collection and registration - Ability to perform testing functions including test case creation and reference data maintenance - Ability to foster collaboration and respect among team members - Communication skills with confidence interacting with individuals at all levels of an organization - Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite - Customer service skills with a desire to achieve results in a professional and timely manner - Detail-oriented with an ability to function and process information with high levels of accuracy - Ability to create a positive impression while interacting with others and responding to inquiries - Results-oriented with an ability to handle many tasks and maintain a high level of individual and team performance - Knowledge of general office procedures - Familiarity with University policies and procedures preferred **Why Western?**: **Background Checks**: Please note, successful applicants may be required to produce current record check(s) (e.g. vulnerable sector, criminal record and police information) from a police service prior to commencing employment.
