You have hands-on experience creating engaging content geared towards virality and social media growth on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and other social media platforms and know how to grab a viewer’s attention in the first 3 seconds and hold it. Whether you’re breaking down a big news story, covering a viral moment, or letting our audiences know about the latest festivals in their community, you can effectively communicate the most important information in a clear and compelling way.You are self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and possess the ability to work independently as well as with a team and are adaptable in a fast-changing environment and you’re detail-oriented with a knack for understanding brand identity and tone. You can script and edit your own content and understand what content types perform on platforms like TikTok and Instagram **What You'll Do** - Pitch, script, host edit and post both editorial and sponsored short-form Green Screen videos for ZDN’s channels BlogTO, Daily Hive and Curiocity - Write engaging scripts for both editorial and sponsored content - Collect supporting images, headlines and visuals for use in green screen videos - Edit and deliver short-form videos on tight deadlines - Tailor your tone to different platforms and brands - Work closely with the Green Screen Lead to ensure content is on-brand and impactful - Participate in discussions around weekly assignments, pitches, revisions and more as necessary. - Join the video team on on-site shoots as needed. **What You Have** - Strong on-camera presence, on-camera experience creating content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts and/or Instagram and a love of storytelling - Experience writing scripts for short-form video and a deep understanding of Canadian news. - Familiarity with blogTO, Daily Hive and Curiocity’s tone and content style - Excellent time management, attention to detail and consistently hitting deadlines while balancing a number of projects at once. - Experience with basic video editing software (CapCut, TikTok, Premiere Pro, etc.) - Ability to work unconventional hours, evenings and weekends as applicable. **What We Offer** - Flexible paid time off policy to ensure you're able to get the break you need and work at an optimized level - Opportunity for both professional and personal growth - Hybrid work environment - Benefits package including dental, vision and extended health starting after 3 months
