- Management of the Training & HFC Technologies team within the NOTD support group. This includes management, strategy, development and implementation of corporate, departmental and individual programs. They will lead a team containing 2 pillars, 1 focusing on training activities and the other on implementing distribution network strategies & architectures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of (7-20) collaborators and SME’s specialized in various sectors of HFC technology and training.
- Provide employee feedback, KPI and performance management on a regular basis. This includes but is not limited to employee growth and development.
- They have the objective of creating, building and influencing the proper selection and use of industry standards.
- Develops, maintains short, mid and long term training roadmaps to ensure alignment with corporate priorities.
- Plays a pivotal role in the operational plan to develop and maintain active and passive HFC network components.
- Initiates pilot projects and proof of concept after the corporate priorities have been determined.
- They will be the key stakeholder for any new equipment introduction into the Cogeco Connexion network. This will include vendor sourcing, training and deployment methods.
- Evaluates and approves all new material before being deployed in distribution networks.
- Other duties as assigned.
- QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMICS-
- College/University Diploma or combination of equivalent education & experience in Instructional Design or Adult Education. College/University Diploma or combination of equivalent education & experience in engineering.- WORK EXPERIENCE-
- 8 - 10 years relevant work experience which includes employee performance management, adult education, technology & telecommunications networks.-
- Proven track record of developing and executing on new strategic directions.-
- Sound understanding and knowledge of HFC networks and/or adult learning best practices and curriculum building.-
- Solid experience of influencing others outside of existing organizations.-
- Proficiency in leveraging vendor training, digital training platforms and outside department resources.-
- Proficiency in analyzing emerging technologies.PREFERRED SKILLS-
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Bilingualism in English/French is an asset.-
- Able to communicate to all levels within the organization.-
- Ability to translate business needs into technical functionalities-
- Team player/contributor.-
- Natural Analytical/Problem solving skills.-
