**Veterinary Technician**

**What You’ll Do**:

- Join Our Multicultural and Inclusive Team at Happy Tails Animal Hospital_

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you are passionate about animal health and committed to working in a positive, diverse environment, we want to hear from you
- Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and radiographs
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under veterinary guidance
- Monitor patient vital signs and provide attentive post-operative care
- Maintain accurate medical records and manage patient admissions/discharges
- Educate pet owners about preventive care, nutrition, and at-home health
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including sterilization and kennel care
- Assist with inventory management and clinic supply orders as needed
- Occasionally support front desk duties such as answering phone calls

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Completion of an accredited Veterinary Technician program or equivalent experience in Canada
- Certification or licensure as a Veterinary Technician is preferred
- **Minimum 1-2 years of experience** as a **veterinary technician in Canada (**Exemption for new grads from Veterinary Technician**)**:

- Compassionate, patient, and able to handle animals with care and confidence
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy clinic environment and multitask effectively
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- **Availability to work Saturdays is required**

Pay: $27.00-$32.70 per hour
