We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our fun team.
Waterfront Park Vet Clinic is locally owned general practice.
We have good clienteles and nice staff to expand your dream.
As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires strong laboratory skills and a passion for working with animals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and examinations on animals
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Collect and analyze laboratory samples, such as blood, urine, and tissue samples
- Perform diagnostic tests, including x-rays and ultrasounds
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Monitor vital signs of animals during procedures and recovery
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and procedures
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
**Experience**:
- Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician or similar role IN CANADA preferred
- Strong laboratory skills, including sample collection and analysis
- Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in administering medications and treatments to animals
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $25.00-$37.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

**Experience**:
- veterinary technician: 1 year (required)
- Veterinary: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Registered Veterinary Technician (preferred)
