**DISPATCHER (Remote Position)**

This position requires a positive, people-oriented, team player who consistently demonstrates a commitment to GSS’s goal of building a healthy Gitxsan community and local economy.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Dispatch is responsible for receiving calls for GSS services and deploying personnel to project locations, playing a key role in ensuring GSS can fulfill contract requirements by building strong and cooperative relationships with GSS personnel and with clients, and by meeting critical deadlines for service deployments.
- The Dispatch department responds to all calls 7 days/week from 6am to 8pm PST and therefore works on a flexible schedule of 37.5 hours throughout the week which includes a full-time dispatcher and backup dispatcher to cover these hours.
- Other duties as directed.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Excellent people skills with a calm, professional demeanor and commanding but respectful phone presence.
- Assertive and highly responsive with outstanding time management skills.
- Experience with responsibility for scheduling and customer service.
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships with customers, employees, vendors, and management team.
- Knowledge and experience in administrative business operations.
- Excellent computer skills - agile to work on multiple platforms: AirTable, SiteDocs, Excel, MS Word, Adobe, GoogleDocs.
- Ability to resolve conflict and problem solve on the fly.
- Agile and can adjust priorities on short notice.
- Knowledge of traffic control, security work, medic and shuttle service operations beneficial TCP Ticket, OFA3 and/or Security Worker License beneficial however not required.
- Knowledge of Northern BC roads and towns is beneficial.
- Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
