Operations Agent

**Summary**:
This position is responsible for ensuring our flights operate on time and according to plan. From confirming the aircraft’s weight and balance is accurately calculated to coordinating ramp and maintenance operations, the role is varied and fast-paced but ultimately rewarding. This position is also responsible for administrative activities in support of the Ramp Operations Department.
**Responsibilities**:
- Perform a broad range of aviation administrative duties in support of the Ramp Operations department.
- Contribute to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of internal records and databases, including flight schedules, web-based training programs, and employee forms.
- Review and prepare documents, reports, bulletins, and other correspondence, ensuring correct format, content, grammar, and spelling, and make edits as necessary.
- Review and edit time-sensitive correspondence.
- Provide clear and effective communication with Department Managers within the company.
- Take minutes and create agendas for meetings.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Promote a culture of safety and comply with all SMS and safety policies, processes, and standards.
- Stay current on administrative and office management best practices.
- Perform any additional responsibilities or duties assigned by the Ramp Operations Manager.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar administrative role in an office environment.
- Post-secondary education in Business Administration is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint at an intermediate level, with a preference given to those with advanced training or work experience.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining databases.
- Must possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License. (Would required to obtain AVOP to complete probation)
- Well-organized with the ability to work independently; attention to detail is critical.
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with staff at all levels and produce effective business correspondence and reports.
- High degree of diplomacy and discretion when dealing with sensitive/confidential information.
- Positive attitude with the ability to be flexible with hours.
- An aviation background is preferred but not required.
