AYLA is an upscale Mediterranean restaurant located in Griffintown. We’re looking to hire a Head Chef to lead our already established kitchen team of hardworking and creative professionals.
- Job Description_
- Create upscale, innovative, and trendsetting Mediterranean dishes
- Research new culinary concepts, analyze Mediterranean menus and recipes, and regularly suggest new menu items based on consistent testing
- Work jointly with the CEO to ensure client satisfaction and upscale service
- Oversee all kitchen operations: staff performance, morale, productivity, development and promotions
- Manage all BOH (hiring, training, scheduling and labor costs)
- Assign prices relative to labor & food costs, competition offerings, and industry standards
- Manage kitchen inventory and purchases
- Control food costs and minimize waste according to operational standards
- Prep food according to the standard recipes, with flair, creativity and quality standards
- Follow MAPAQ regulations instilling proper health & safety measures
- Qualifications_
- Min 4 years experience in fine dining cuisine
- Experience in a Mediterranean restaurant
- Positive attitude and innovative thinking
- Must be a Canadian citizen or posses a valid Visa
