Accounts Payables Technician

Work in a stimulating, innovative and action-oriented environment - Conditions: - Permanent position - Full time (37.5h/week) - On-site - Possibility of telecommuting (1-2 days) - Competitive salary and vacation - Eligible for annual profit-sharing and group RRSPs - Responsibilities: - Support, educate and advise - Cooperation - Be an accounts payable specialist - Integrity - Ensure quality service - Tasks: - Verify, analyze, reconcile high volume accounts payable statements; - Support, validate and approve expense invoices and expense accounts; - Responsible for monitoring a portfolio of statements; - High-level follow-up with our branches and suppliers, tactfully and accurately answering questions concerning their files and ensuring the required follow-ups; - Make corrections (DM, CM) while ensuring sound reconciliation of supplier accounts; - Responsible for follow-up to lift Credit HOLDs; - Analysis and processing of level I and II exceptions; - Act as "super user"; - Participation in and support of Accounts Payable department projects; - Ensure team training; - Suggest improvements to ensure a reliable and efficient process; - Be the ambassador of the department's best practices, guide standardization - Responsible for drafting, revisions, task assistance, procedures; - Active participation in departmental continuous improvement; - Role as guardian of the supplier invoice cycle from validation to payment; - Responsible for supplier invoice payment cycle; - Supplier creation EFT / Validation; - Approval of new accounts payable; - Other related responsibilities. - Profile/Requirements: - Effective communication (Bilingual: French, English); - Sense of organization, efficiency and priority management; - Interest in learning and observation skills; - Ability to take action on unforeseen circumstances while ensuring sound management of priorities; - Ability and ease of computer navigation; - Proficiency in the following Excel functions (pivot tables and VLOOKUP). - Alert person with strong team spirit, sense of service and sense of urgency; - Rigorous and alert to resolve discrepancies; - Thoroughly follow processes and perform quality work; - Curious and willing to learn; - Enjoy being in action to process a high volume of transactions; - Teamwork and collaboration. - Education: - DEP, CEGEP or university level studies in administration, accounting or any other training or combination deemed equivalent could be considered; - Experience: - High-level accounts payable management What’s in it for you - We are a major player, involved in the energy transformation in Canada.
