**Job Description**:
POSITION PURPOSE

The Supply Chain Master Data Specialist combines two areas of responsibility:

- Owning and maintaining high quality master data records that describe the supply chain of corporate divisions, while establishing metrics to improve the quality of this data.
- Collaborating with local corporate teams in different countries, sharing knowledge and establishing best practices.

MEASURES
- Completeness and quality of master data sets for different regions and countries
- Enablement of local teams throughout the Company

MAJOR / KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Supply Chain Master Data Maintenance:

- Own and maintain sets of supply chain master data for global corporate operations
- Use the central location service and other sources of information to improve existing master data records
- Use asset tracking results to discover new supply chain locations and relationships
- Identify and evaluate external sources of data
- Define quality metrics and monitor the quality of master data

Be an ambassador and trusted advisor on supply chain master data:

- Work with local teams that need quality master data in their projects
- Explain and demo best practices
- Train and temporarily embed with local teams
- Collect feedback for improving data sources, software, or process

CHALLENGES / PROBLEM SOLVING
- Have the mindset of a researcher, both for individual master data records that are unclear, and for finding the best practices for scaling to a million records

AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING
- Own the master data
- Work out on quality metrics and process improvements
- Drive best practice adoption in a complex stakeholder environment

KEY CONTACTS
- Members of supply chain and business unit teams in countries around the world
- Digital engineering, UX, implementation and support teams

External:

- Customer master data teams

QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven attention to detail when maintaining data & feeling responsible for high quality data
- Experience analyzing data quality
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, math, statistics, one of the sciences, or business

Desirable Qualifications:

- Experience as end-user of enterprise software
- Experience with geographical information systems (maps and beyond)
- Experience in using master data management modules in ERP or SCM systems
- Experience working with large data sets
- Technical: should be able to use analytics tools and write some code or analyze data through SQL (though you don’t need to be an engineer)
- Experience as a software development, consultant, or analyst team in supply chain management

EXPERIENCE
- Ideally experience as a specialist, technical analyst, quality or support team member in software development or supply chain operations
- We do consider applicants right out of school

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Passion to build an outstanding supply chain data base
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Comfortable with changing situations and challenging goals
- Hold your own in debates with software engineers
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable with demonstrating systems and best practices to an audience of 10+
