**Compensation**:_$68,000 - $72,000 + bonus + benefits. _

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. **About This Role and About You**

The Supply Chain Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of the short-term supply chain for various products. Supply chain responsibilities will include the inbound movement of raw material into various Chemtrade and third-party production sites, and the outbound movement of the product to a network of customers and distribution terminals. This position is required to coordinate activities between numerous internal and external parties, as well as to perform various administrative duties.

**Qualifications**:

- College diploma or University degree, preferably in supply chain, business, or operations management.
- 3-5 years’ work experience, preferably in supply chain, logistics or similar functions.
- Capability to balance a diverse workload, set priorities, and maintain flexibility when dealing with the unexpected.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills and ability to provide solutions.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as efficient time management.
- Advanced Excel, Microsoft Office skills required.
- SAP & Power BI experience preferred.

**Responsibilities**:

- As part of the Sales, Inventory, & Operations Planning review: raw material inventory levels, production, consumption rates, and customer demand/forecasted demand to determine shipping schedules (e.g., sulfuric acid).
- Manage Chemtrade leased railcar fleet to ensure the availability of railcars to fulfill Plant and Customers obligations.
- Performs exception reporting on day-to-day railcar and/or truck movements (tracing), liaises with Fleet Coordinators on railcar repairs.
- Collects, analyses, and makes improvement recommendations on railcar demurrage costs and processes.
- Coordinate plant planned and unplanned outages.
- Lead & participate in various continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs through improving transit times, reducing storage, diversion & empty car repositioning movement costs.
- Uses SAP reports and creates ad-hoc reports as well as performing transactions as needed.

Keys to Success

1. Able to create supply plans for complex scenarios and communicate those plans to all stakeholders.

Take inventory, inbound orders, customer orders, forecast, transit time data, and synthesize this information into a clear plan in Excel.

2. Ability to get to the root cause of problems and develop the appropriate solutions by asking the right questions to Plant Managers, suppliers, and truck/rail carriers.

3. Ability influence and build confidence with stakeholders.
