**Marketing and Events Planning Manager**

Benefit Show is the top event marketing company in Hamilton (Stoney Creek) -producing charity hockey games, and tribute concerts for top-selling artists like Abba, Supertramp, The Eagles, and more. We often partner with well-known charities and non-profit organizations throughout Ontario. Our objective is not only to generate funds through events, but also to heighten public awareness of the organizations we serve.

This is a great opportunity for anyone with business and entrepreneurial spirit who is looking to make an impact while acting independently. We are looking for someone who is available 5 days of the week and is available during the day plus evenings.

**The following will outline a general job description**:

- Responsible for overseeing event planning and preparations intended for marketing and sales purposes. Marketing and events manager will handle the contracts with suppliers and third-party vendors for equipment and materials to be used during the event. Attend events for their success
- Manage digital promotional content and announcements for public awareness.
- Venue and talent - hold dates established to support lead times on aligning boards etc.
- Show Announcement drafted and vetted
- Contracts ready to sign. Signing to take place once concert/hockey games approved
- Ensure best pricing continues to be negotiated
- Ensure restaurants and hotels are booked in timely fashion to allow for recognition of vendors; ie - advertising in program, provide ticket distribution etc.
- Collect and organize art work from corporate sponsors
- Accountable to create strategies and support for outside sales.
- Accountable for Media Relations including creation and distribution of promotional material & media releases. Find and determine how to promote event through multiple platforms. Liaise with media partners.
- Write and edit blogs and campaign communications and develop community engagement with each campaign
- Assist with setting up online ticketing as well as coordinating ticket outlets
- Some administrative tasks as required
- Support the sales team and assist with business collections, as required.

**Job Requirements**:

- BA/BS in related field would be an asset. A marketing and or communication degree is a definite asset.
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills and a results-driven mindset with the ability to gauge content performance/ engagement to inform strategies for growth.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize needs of business and adhere to strict timelines.
- Strong focus on the details.
