MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS INTERN

LOCATION:

*** Please note: this is a hybrid role, with 3-days in our Stoney Creek, ON office and 2-days work from home. This is non-negotiable. ***

CONTRACT:
4-months (Jan-April, 2026)

Baffin (a wholly owned subsidiary of Canada Goose) is looking for a Marketing Communications Intern to join the company's growing team.

Working directly with Baffin's Communications Manager, eCommerce Manager, and Marketing Specialist, the Marketing Communications Intern will support the development and execution of written brand communications across multiple channels.

This includes assisting with public relations initiatives, email marketing campaigns, website and eCommerce copy, social media content, and other brand storytelling efforts. The role is ideal for someone passionate about writing, editing, and bringing a consistent brand voice to life across all communications touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, creative and eager to learn.

CORE ACTIVITIES

· Support the Marketing Department's initiatives through the planning, execution, and tracking of marketing, communications, and PR-related programs and event coordination.

· Assist in developing, writing, and managing content for brand communications, including social media, website copy, press materials, newsletters, and marketing emails.

· Contribute to the writing, design, and development of consumer email campaigns, ensuring all communications reflect Baffin's brand voice and visual identity.

· Support the creation of on-brand graphics and digital assets for use across email, web, and social media platforms.

· Conduct daily social media sweeps and track earned social media coverage, contributing to weekly and monthly reporting.

· Support the PR team through daily media monitoring, drafting communications, and developing monthly coverage reports.

· Conduct market research and competitive reviews to inform ongoing marketing and communications strategies.

· Collaborate with the design team on graphic development for internal and external communications.

· Coordinate product shipments with the internal distribution team for marketing, PR, and influencer programs.

· Maintain internal databases and media contact lists to support team organization and efficiency.

· Provide administrative and logistical support to ensure the smooth execution of Marketing and Communications initiatives.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

· Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a marketing, communications, public relations, or related program 
is preferred but not required
.

· Strong oral and written communication skills with a focus on storytelling and brand consistency.

· Excellent attention to detail and exceptional research skills.

· Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

· Comfortable using search engines and conducting online research.

· Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite.

· Familiar with major social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter (X), and YouTube.

· Comfortable with graphic design basics; experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva considered an asset.

· Access to a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
