Business Analyst

Position Summary:

- The Business Analyst Sales Administration is primarily responsible for providing timely and accurate sales data along as well as analysis, reporting and trend data to Sales Management and Field Sales. This role performs specialized analysis and requires a high level of critical thinking to support our Canada Sales team.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

- Key contributor in Canadian Sales programs. Works closely with the sales management teams to create, implement, track and communicate sales programs. Work with IT on backend implementation of sales programs.
- Manage reconciliation of sales program benefits, rebates, and net downs ensuring adherence to program guidelines.
- Participate in annual sales compensation planning. Responsible for developing accurate sales targets that drive the company’s monthly, quarterly, and annual sales plan.
- Maintain sales representative account lists, top customer lists, and staff lists.
- Subject matter expert for all processes, systems, reporting and data used by Sales & Experiential teams.
- Collect and analyze data to evaluate sales territory geographies, existing and potential customers, markets, products and business opportunities. Provide recommendations for adjustments based on data analysis.
- Responsible for continual awareness of the golf market, trends, conditions and the position and nature of competitive programs through review of information from the field or from other sources.
- Oversight of sales reporting and analytics. Enables/provides reporting for Director of Sales, sales reps, experiential team, Finance and HR for all needs including the calculating of commissions and the measurement of achievement to targets.
- Liaison for Information Technology to develop new and improve existing technologies that support and enable effective sales processes. Research sales technologies, best practices and innovations and provides recommendations for changes.
- Tracks and measures systems and process adoption and drives change management efforts to address any adoption gaps.
- Develops, recommends, and implements sales programs and policies based on market opportunities.
- Work with sales and marketing management to study and develop strategies to support selling to national customers
- Manages and tracks adherence across all sales programs
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

- Intermediate to advanced ability to use financial systems and software (Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle EBS, Business Objects, DOMO, PBCS)
- Strong analytical (quantitative as well as qualitative) skills
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze large amounts of data at a macro and micro level
- Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
- Self-starter with the ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
- Thrives in fast-paced, growing, rapidly changing environment
- Strong ability to work independently and with multi-functional teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance or other related field
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in finance, sales administration or other related environment.
- Experience with golf or sporting goods manufacturer is a plus.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

- Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.
