Job Title: Food Truck Chef

Company: Pastaggio, an artisan fresh pasta company.

About us: Pastaggio is an artisan fresh pasta company based in the vibrant city of Vancouver. We are excited to launch our new food truck, bringing our beloved handcrafted fresh pasta dishes to the streets Our mission is to share the love of fresh, high-quality pasta using seasonal ingredients and rotating menus to the community - while providing a true warm hospitality experience for our customers.

Position Overview:
*MUST have a class 5 driver’s license with a good driving record

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of pasta dishes according to Pastaggio’s recipes and standards.
- Operate food truck equipment safely and efficiently while always adhering to Foodsafety procedures.
- Ensure food quality, presentation and portion control meet company standards.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, taking orders, providing recommendations and handling payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the food truck, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive and fun working environment.
- Participate in community events and festivals to promote Pastaggio's food truck.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience cooking in a restaurant/commercial kitchen, preferable experience working with fresh pasta or Italian cuisine.
- Passion for food with a focus on quality and creativity.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a team player attitude.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and maintain a positive demeanor under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and festivals.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
