**About the job**: In this role, you will:

- help shape Ontario's transit system by undertaking research and analysis and developing advice for senior decision-makers
- write clear and practical policy ideas to improve transportation services across the province
- work closely with Ontario Public Service colleagues and other partners to support transportation projects
- represent the Ministry at meetings and events with transportation organizations and stakeholders

**What you bring to the team**:
**Policy experience**: You have experience with:

- policy and legislative processes
- helping to design and carry out programs
- using research tools, methods, and techniques to support policy work

**Research, evaluation and analysis**: You can:

- help build new and creative programs
- demonstrate sound judgment, and have an understanding of sensitive or political situations
- assess the effectiveness of policies/programs against Ministry initiatives and goals for evidence-based recommendations

**Relationship management and communication**: You have:

- experience with creating and managing relationships with internal and external partners
- consultation skills and the ability to give clear, helpful advice on policies, standards, and programs

You can:

- respond to issues, suggest solutions, and write reports using common computer programs
- lead research projects, explain the results clearly, and present them to senior leaders

**Planning and Organizational**: You can:

- plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines and shifting priorities
