We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to build out our finance team as Kardium continues to grow and prepare to become a public company over the next couple of years.
**What you’ll be doing**
Reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will be an active participant and leader in Kardium’s accounting function, focusing on supporting increased transaction volumes as well as taking ownership of projects to scale up Kardium’s financial processes and financial reporting infrastructure.
Specific responsibilities of the Accounting Manager will include:
- Lead accounting team responsible for full cycle accounting
- Lead hiring, onboarding, and coaching of new accounting team members as we continue to build our team
- Prepare and review financial reporting and analysis ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with regulatory requirements, including liaising with the external auditor for the annual financial statement audit
- Ensure the delivery of timely and relevant financial performance analysis to executive management on a monthly basis
- Ensure compliance with tax authority reporting deadlines in multiple jurisdictions, with assistance of outside service providers
- Collaborate with Kardium staff in all business units

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
- You have a formal accounting designation, and at least 5 years of working experience in related roles
- Experienced with full cycle accounting
- Direct experience with SEC reporting requirements in a public company setting, including establishing and testing financial controls (SOX 404)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong leadership and willingness to give and receive prompt, direct, and specific feedback
- Experience with an ERP implementation or extensive experience working within an ERP
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing industry, such as for type 3 medical devices, is a strong asset
