Waterworks Irrigation is one of the leading irrigation companies on Vancouver Island, and we’re growing rapidly. We’re looking for an experienced individual with a proven track record in managing irrigation projects or similar roles in construction or landscaping.

With a 2+ month waitlist for new projects, our biggest barrier to growth is finding skilled professionals with the expertise and aptitude to lead project sites and service calls. That’s why we work hard to take care of and retain valued employees. Our GM and other site manager have each been with us for over 5 years. **Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Project Management**: Lead and manage irrigation projects, ensuring all phases from installation to maintenance are executed effectively and on schedule.
**- Team Supervision**:Oversee a team of irrigation technicians and laborers. Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and adherence to best practices.
**- Site Coordination**:Coordinate daily operations on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management. Ensure that work is performed efficiently and safely.
**- Quality Control**: Monitor project quality and ensure that all installations and repairs meet company standards and client specifications. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly.
**- Client Communication**:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. Address inquiries, provide updates, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
**- Budget Management**: Manage project budgets and resources. Track expenses, control costs, and ensure that projects are completed within budget.
**- Compliance**:Ensure that all work complies with relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of compliance and safety measures.
**- Reporting**:Prepare and submit detailed reports on project progress, including timelines, milestones, and any challenges encountered. Provide recommendations for improvements or adjustments as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Experience**: Proven experience in managing irrigation projects or related construction/landscaping projects. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or managerial role is required.
**- Technical Expertise**: In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Familiarity with various irrigation technologies and best practices.
**- Leadership Skills**: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Experience in training and developing team members.
**- Project Management**: Excellent organizational and project management skills. Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
**- Communication**:Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
**- Problem-Solving**: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address and resolve complex issues quickly and effectively.
**- Certifications**: Relevant certifications or training in irrigation systems, project management, or construction management are preferred. CIT Level 1 or willing to obtain within first 3 months.
**- License**:A valid driver’s license is required.
