**Lead Inventory Control**

Reporting to the General Manager, the Lead Inventory Control is responsible to work cohesively with multiple departments to ensure production and shipping meets the customer’s requirements. This position will be the hands-on lead for material ordering, inventory management, and all inventory needs including weekly, monthly, and annual inventory counts. The Lead Inventory Control works directly within the shipping department and communicates daily with all departments to ensure accuracy and entirety of all orders.

**Duties/Responsibilities**:

- Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit with the purchasing team.
- Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic and recurring order fulfillment.
- Provides inventory reports to purchasing department
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with freight providers and vendors.
- Maintains accurate daily, weekly, and monthly records of goods received and shipments made with photos and supporting documentation.
- Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related database and/or software under the direction of the purchasing and shipping managers.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
- Assists with periodic (at least monthly) physical inventory counts.
- Operates forklift when necessary to assist the shipping team.
- Ensure competitive pricing on freight, supply, and other services.
- Supply information to management when required; credit exception, restocking form, production back log.
- Ensuring all paperwork going to production, the yard, and the customer is complete and accurate.
- Performs other shipping related duties as requested.

**Knowledge/Skills/Qualifications**:

- Strong computer skills, and experience with Microsoft 365 is an asset.
- Must take ownership of core responsibilities as assigned and communicate effectively.
- The desire to complement All-Fab’s sales and technical service teams and departments, communicate well, maintain organization, be highly efficient and be accurate.
- Knowledge of city of Edmonton and Central/Northern Alberta.
- Previous experience in inventory control and management.
- 3-4 years’ experience in shipping/receiving.
- Lumber industry experience is an asset for the role.
- Understands loads and limits of equipment.
- Enjoys taking on special projects.

**Degrees/Certificates and licenses**
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
- Post secondary education in the fields of Logistics or Business are assets.
- Forklift experience is an asset.
