**Job Summary**:
The Cook is responsible for assisting the Head Cook in food preparation and cooking in large quantities.

**Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Prepare, cook and present as per the head cook’s directions.
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all dishes leaving the kitchen meet the restaurant's standards.
- Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Assist with preparations of all the stations as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with local and state regulations.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely.

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Production/Banquet experience preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- 3 years of experience in fast-paced kitchens preferred.
- A degree or diploma in culinary arts, skills, or management is an asset.
- Strong communication skills.
- Food Handling Certificate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management.
- Ability to occasionally lift items as heavy as 50 lbs.
