**ABOUT THE COLLEGE**:
The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario (COTO) is the regulatory organization that oversees the practice of occupational therapists (OTs) in Ontario. Our job is to make sure that the public receives safe, effective, ethical care from OTs.
Our mission is to protect the public and instill confidence and trust by ensuring occupational therapists are competent, ethical, and accountable. We are Canada’s largest regulator of occupational therapists, and we oversee more than 6,500 occupational therapists registered here in Ontario.

This role reports to the Quality Assurance Manager and will be responsible for various accountabilities, including but not limited to those listed below.
**KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assist in the development of the Annual E-Learning Plan in collaboration with the QA Manager, QA committee/sub-committee, and various other teams
- Facilitate the maintenance and improvement of the programs to monitor successful registrant participation in the annual requirements
- Help develop and distribute communications to registrants regarding requirements
- Monitor completion of mandatory requirements by registrants and provide support including day to day implementation of decisions by the Quality Assurance Committee
- Participate in the recruitment, on-boarding, and training of peer assessors
- Maintain peer assessor database including competencies matrix to identify and address gaps
- Collect, evaluate, and report on the results of the effectiveness of the peer assessment process to ensure quality and consistency
- Make recommendations for adaptations to policies relating to peer assessors
- Assist in the selection of OTs for upcoming competency assessments. Use policy and data analytics to determine the number of registrants for upcoming selection and calculate predictions for future capacity
- Coordinate requests for deferrals and maintain follow ups with all pending assessments
- Act as a ‘point person’ for OTs participating in the competency assessment, providing consultations and resources related to orientation, education etc.
- Coordinate the multiphase competency assessment by developing and maintaining the database(s) through document tracking to efficiently monitor the status of each participant
- Participate in the Quality Assurance Committee/Subcommittee with facilitation, material preparation and project development updates
- Collect and analyze program evaluation information and present data driven insights for quality/process improvements
- Draft documents related to QA program for Board approval and/or College use
- Respond to inquiries from registrants about the QA Program and annual requirements
- Develop new educational materials about the competency assessment and QA program
- Facilitate educational and outreach events to showcase QA program and engage with registrants regarding support available to them
- Contribute to program and College-wide ongoing and special projects, coordinating and delivering skills and expertise, and motivating project team members toward the achievement of goals and objectives
**EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE**:
- Certified Occupational Therapist registered with the College
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a practicing OT within Ontario
- Familiar with relevant healthcare legislations and regulations
- Proficient with presentation software and database software
- Previous experience in healthcare quality assurance, project and/or data management
- Background in not-for-profit, healthcare, regulatory, or public sector industry is an asset
- Experience working with Councils/Boards and Committees is an asset
- Fluency in French is an asset

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**:
The starting annual salary for this position is $74,057. Salary may change depending on level of experience.
