Core development is done in Java, Spring and JavaScript, although the nature of our work allows project teams the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies. Recent projects we’ve delivered include technologies such as React, Angular, Moleculer, Node.js, MongoDB, Kafka, Hadoop, Kotlin, Cloud Foundry and AWS.As QA Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to work with a cross-functional collaborative team to identify issues, develop test plans and execute test cases, write automated tests, and contribute to the overall quality of the project.Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Facilitating discussions between leadership, clients and developers to identify and document functional requirementsDeveloping and documenting test plans to ensure appropriate testing of the application code developed by the project teamDeveloping, documenting, automating, and executing test cases to verify the application code developed by the project teamGathering and processing business information related to procedures, data and processes to clarify business issues/requirementsDriving QA strategy and investigating, applying and evolving QA tools, processes and best practices including metrics and analyticsCollaborating directly with development team to deliver projects on-time and on-budget to the client’s satisfaction'Must Have' Skills/ExperienceExperience and expertise in automated testing methodologies, frameworks, tools, and best practicesProgramming experience in Java/JavaScriptExperience testing APIsFamiliarity with mocking external dependencies and exploratory testing techniquesExposure to and enthusiasm for Agile approaches to software developmentProven client-facing, partnership and presentation skillsStrong problem solving abilitiesAbility to consolidate diverse business requirements and facilitate realistic, common sense solutionsBachelor’s Degree in one of: Business, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or Physics (or equivalent education/experience)'Nice to Have' Skills/ExperienceProgramming experience in Java/JavaScriptExperience testing APIsExperience testing mobile applicationsFamiliarity with mocking external depedencies and exploratory testing techniquesFor more info on Electric Mind, check out our Careers Page and Instagram.Electric Mind is committed to diversity in the workplace.
